Hey! My name is Autumn.

I’m a food lover from Columbus, Ohio. No matter where my life has taken me, my passion for food has driven the choices I’ve made, and the path I’ve taken. From cooking it, to eating it, to taking pictures of it, my life is very food-focused! I started this blog to share delightful recipes, interviews with people in the food community, and other food related content! Connecting with people over food is something that truly brings me joy, and I look forward to building these kinds of connections with you.

It’s always been a dream of mine to own a food business. When I was little I bounced between wanting to open a cupcake shop and a coffee shop. After being told by people in my life that working in food would never get me a good job, I decided to go to college for something in the medical field – because that’s safe (so they tell me)! At my college orientation something just clicked in my brain, and I realized the medical field was not going to be a good fit for me.

I first changed my major to business, and a year later changed it to Baking and Pastry Arts. I’ve always loved baking, and now I’m a graduate of an award winning culinary program! Along the way I also earned a certificate in Business Foundations, won “Outstanding Woman Leader of the Year” two separate times, and helped launch a scholarship mentorship program for women at the college, and sat on various campus-wide committees.

During my time working as a student employee in the college’s Diversity and Inclusion department, I had the opportunity to plan many amazing conferences and events. Some of the speakers we hosted include Political Activist Angela Davis, Reverend Al Sharpton, and 2014 Miss America Nina Davuluri. In spring of 2017 I took charge and not only planned the college’s Women’s Her-story Month Summit, I was also the MC! It was one of the most gratifying experiences I’ve had thus far in my life.

In addition to working in the Diversity and Inclusion department, I also held jobs in the Center for Advising, Support, and Exploration department, and the Marketing department. In C.A.S.E. I was a new student orientation leader, where I helped lead orientations, give tours, and help new students find their footing at the college. In the Marketing department I worked as a Social Media Reporter. This was my first taste of the social media marketing world! It’s where I began my journey as a food photographer, met some amazing people who are doing incredible things in media, and gained the confidence to start building my own presence and brand online!

After graduating college I started my own small business doing food photography, video work, and social media management for local food businesses. If you are a food business owner who’d like help in any of these areas, I’d love to hear from you! Even if you’re not local, if you can ship your product to me I can work with you. Visit my Work With Me page to learn more about how my services can help your business!
